We’re asking for the community’s financial help
To continue as a solvent association with our current liabilities we are aiming for a donations total of $30,000. This figure will help to ensure that we can pay for ongoing annual costs and not spend next year’s ticket money for any ongoing expenses; enabling us to offer maximum refunds should we again find ourselves in a position that a pandemic affects the event.

Blazing Swan is made possible by its amazing Community either through Volunteering or by simply buying a ticket to each year’s event.
Money raised from each year’s event ticket sales allows not just the annual event to happen, but also the following –
- Art grants to support artists in the creation of their work.
- Theme Camp grants to support camps in bringing their gifts to the annual event.
- Supports the year-round cost of the Swan’s Nest, Blazing Swan’s home base where –
- The Temple and Effigy are pre-built each year for the event.
- Short and Long term storage is available for Blazing Swan Theme Camps and Artists.
- Workshop spaces for Community Art and Construction projects.
- Workspace for Mutant Art car projects
- Office space for Blazing Swan Inc.
- Blazing Swan event storage
Why does Blazing Swan need financial help?
The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic sadly bought (but important to do) a Government-mandated cancellation of events such as Blazing Swan to control the spread of the disease and flatten the curve. The financial impact of COVID-19 to Blazing Swan and its Community is something that will be felt for some time though.
Blazing Swan has had to undergo some serious belt-tightening to try to ensure its future survival as event ticket sales had not reached their peak at the date of the cancellation, and along with percentage-based ticket refunds, this has meant the usual funds to support Blazing Swan throughout the year to the following year’s event are not available.
